The sheer weight of the global pandemic over the past year can make it easy to forget the host of other pressing issues facing society today, from equality and abuse to other life-threatening diseases. Many causes have suffered in the shadow of COVID-19, while some social problems have been inflamed, such as loneliness and isolation, which significantly increased during 2020 as a direct result of lockdown life. Despite the dominance of the pandemic, at Vodafone we’ve also been supporting and raising awareness of other issues close to the hearts of our people and our customers.
